Board Governance
Koester & Associates offers governance consultation/coaching to the following: Chief Staff, Board Chairs, and Governance Committee Chairs. Coaching services are designed to meet the specific needs of the person involved with governance. Coaching and consultation are hourly services, and may be conducted in a face-to-face session, or via telephone. Advance payment is required in order to schedule your coaching/consultation appointment.
Fee:
$275/hour + expenses
Governance Training/Educating/Orienting
1-2 hour session (preferably before or during a Board meeting) with the full Board of Directors for governance training, education, orientation, etc. Fees are inclusive of all services and time directed to this effort, including all preliminary work and the 1-2 hour session.
Flat Fee + expenses:
Based on the size of the organization and complexity of issues:

Governance/Planning Retreats
5-8 hour facilitated governance session for Boards of Directors. Fees are inclusive of all services and time directed to this effort, including all preliminary work (review of governing documents, pre-session meetings, creation of questionnaires, agendas, work tools), facilitation of Retreat, and a summary report of the Retreat accomplishments/outcomes.
Koester & Associates generally books Retreat & Training clients 3 to 9 months in advance, which allows for sufficient time to plan and execute a successful Governance Retreat and Trainings.

Koester & Associates Policies
Payment for Hourly Services: Full payment is required in advance for Ms. Koester’s hourly services in order to reserve a time slot unless specific alternate arrangements have been made with Ms. Koester. Payment may be made through the PayPal button below.
Payment for Retreat/Training Services: A payment of 50% is required to secure dates for any retreat or training services. The remaining fees, plus any expenses will be billed after services are completed.
Cancellations/Refunds: No refunds are available for Ms. Koester’s services unless reasonable notice of cancellation is provided. Contact Ms. Koester for further details regarding cancellation policy.
Reschedule: In the event that you need to reschedule an appointment for which you’ve prepaid, you must provide at least 48 hours advance notice by phone. 602.234.3370. In such a case, Ms. Koester will gladly reschedule at a mutually convenient time.
Late for Appointment: Please contact Ms. Koester immediately at 602.234.3370.
Fee Accommodation: In expectional cases, a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay may be available. Contact us for details.

*Expenses: Travel outside of the Phoenix area include the following: transfers, rental car, airfare, lodging, meals, and standard mileage.
Right to Refuse Services: Koester & Associates reserves the right to refuse services to any person or organization. In some case, Ms. Koester may refer you to another professional if at any point she determines that she is not able to address your specific needs.
