To govern effectively, a group of people must analyze a variety of dynamic factors and strike a balance between oversight of current responsibilities and the need to create a vision for the future, all while maintaining a moral and ethical compass. At Koester & Associates, our goal is to help people govern more effectively through facilitated discussions about Modern Governance.
Since 2000, Koester & Associates has been designing governance structures and providing Board governance consultation, retreats, training and coaching to hundreds of people who serve on Boards as well as to those that report to Boards.
As a way to get the discussion started in your boardroom, use Koester & Associates Board Governance Evaluation to assure that all members of your Board are getting the information they need to understand and act consistently on critical governance issues. Print the list of questions from the evaluation and ask each Board member and Chief Staff to answer the questions privately; then tally the responses and discuss the differences. It’s an easy way to start the dialogue in the Boardroom regarding good governance practices.
